Duck and Snow Goose hunting doesn’t get any better than at Minton Farms in Southeast Missouri ! We hunt geese in Northwest Missouri near Squaw Creek National Wildlife refuge, which is a major staging area for over a million Snow, Blue and Ross Geese. The snow geese hunts run from the middle of February through the end of March, during the Conservation Order. The Conservation Order has been called to thin out the over populated Snow Geese. This order is very liberal, allowing for the use of electronic calls, unplugged guns and no limits. This makes for fast and furious action. The hunts take place on both land and water on private leases. For up-close and personal shooting and comfort and concealment, we use finisher blinds. We also use large spreads of decoys to insure hunter success.

When the spring rolls around we start up our spring snow goose hunting preparation. We start up in northwest Missouri near the Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge and follow the migration north through Nebraska and South Dakota . All of our spring snow goose hunts are first class. We hunt over thousands of decoys and use the top of the line layout blinds when pits are not an option.

Our late season goose hunts are located in the rice rich Bootheel of Missouri, where we have large wintering populations of Whitefronted and Snow geese as well as Canada geese. These hunts will be guided from either pit or layout style blinds depending on weather conditions. Hunts will be from one half hour before sunrise until 2 PM. Decoy spreads will consist of Bigfoot, Hardcore and Carry-lite full body decoys as well as Northwind decoys and silhouettes.
